Miko reprendra ses études

Growing up in a family with a limited income, which is barely enough to sustain needs, was really hard. Mikko, already knew that getting into college back then is close to impossible given the situation he’s in. He had to strive hard to finish high school to help the family but his hopes of earning a college degree remained, at least in his dreams. 2019-he did not pass the physical examination for Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific due to cataract, an eye disorder. It was May that time where all public universities are done with their respective examination periods and plans of continuing his studies was really uncertain. He tried to pursue studying college taking Bs Biology in Amando Cope College. However, due to the abundant expenses and tuition he stop college. He loves to study and learn new things. He had to stop because his mother can no longer support his education. Later then, his family had conflict and misunderstandings where they left home and rent a small place just for his mom and 2 siblings. Life was hard for him as an oldest son who has no father to hold to. He experienced eating small amount of food just to give it to his siblings. He cried for his family’s situation, but his determination grows more.

He decided to go to the capital and find a better job for a 19 years old boy. Life in the capital was very different from his home. It is not a safe place for a young boy living alone. He worked as a call center agent, a baggage boy in Sm mall, service crew of jollibee, and all sort of jobs he entered just to earn money for his family. After 3 years living far from his family, now he has a better job to keep his family stable for home expenses and to keep his sister study senior high school. But it was not enough to save money for college. He worried that his graduating sister will end up like him in the future who did not make into college. He strive hard to get another job to earn more money. He was so close at giving up for his dreams since it was impossible to make into college again without enough money. But guess God wanted him to keep going and sent an instrumental being to push him hard to dream big. His family’s friend Mr. Fabien Jacob, dragged him from university to university to inquire for admission. He even paid for the fares and his examination fee just to pursue college. He got a scholarship from his NGO where Ms. Laura ___ , a lawyer in___ , sponsored him for his full college expenses. He was very thankful for the opportunity they gave him. He took up BS Human Resource in Colegio de Montalban. According to Mikko,  » I had fun the entire time while learning so much. But it was not a smooth road. I never left my job. I still want to study college while still working because it feels like my body is used to do hard works. The struggle was real. But I survived. I was backed-up by a lot of people loving and believing in me that I can make it, and with God’s grace, I did. I know that I’ll be able to do this the best way I can anytime soon. Thank you for helping me to get the best education in this country has to offer. Rest assured that not every penny you have worked for will be wasted. »
